Designed as a complete turnout and stable rug setup from the start. 

One durable turn out outer

One stable sheet

Interchangable performance liners in 50g, 100g and 200g to create either an insulated turn out rug or stable rug. 

No need to have mutliple rugs for both the stable and turn out - just swap the liners between the systems.

Add Performace without changing the system.

The system is designed to adapt gradually over time — reducing the need for multiple separate rugs for stable and turn out. 

Performance liners add waterproof and breathable protection to teh turn out rug. 

Then simple zip off the outer rug and replace with a stable sheet to create a moisture managing stable rug. 

Liners are easily washed at home allowing you to keep your horse's rug clean and free from greasy build up.

    Designed to balance waterproof protection with airflow and everyday comfort. The outer combines durable weather protection with breathable construction for changing conditions.

  • Convert From Outside to Inside

    Use your liners in your Cross Layer Turn Out rug for outside protection. 

    Then when using inside, simply remove the outer rug and replace with a dry stable sheet to create a stable rug. 

  • Designed For Safety

    Concealed front closures and protected surcingles help reduce snagging during turnout, while shielding straps and fastenings from mud, water and everyday wear.

  • Designed For Movement

    Engineered with freedom of movement and turnout comfort in mind. Shoulder gussets and adaptable layering allow the system to move naturally with the horse.

Cross Section Equestrian was founded by Kirsty Wilson to rethink traditional horsewear through adaptable systems, technical materials and real-world horse care experience.

Today, the system continues to be developed through hands-on testing and direct manufacturing partnerships in India — focusing on function, movement and long-term usability rather than trend-led seasonal products.


As the brand grows, part of that journey is also about supporting small-scale horse welfare initiatives in India through long-term partnerships and direct involvement on the ground.
